the orbis™ hits New York for Photoplus and a new video!

I’m in New York and will be on stand #662 running demos throughout PDN’s fantastic Photoplus show. Photos and an update to follow tomorrow, but if you’re in NYC, make sure you come and say “Hi”. We’ve got the new orbis™ ring flash arm on the stand which so far has been met with a great reception from everyone who’s come by. We’re working with the gorgeous Olivia Christine from ModelMayhem too. Pics to follow! I forgot my G10 in my friend’s apartment yesterday but it’s ready to go today.

Yesterday was, ermm, eventful to say the least. Standing in the middle of our tradeshow stand, I went to pull my pass out of my back pocket only to have the pin come unstuck from the catch, stuck into my jeans then – before it was out of my back pocket – carry on going into my.. yeah, you guessed it. Every movement I made to try and get unstuck was agony. I’d only just met Olivia and didn’t really feel I knew her well enough yet to invite her to dive to the rescue around my nether parts. By the time someone noticed the contortions I was going through to try and free myself I managed to pull the pin from my butt. One of those occasions you’ll laugh about one day (today already in fact) but that just aren’t funny at the time.

So if you drop by our stand #662 today or tomorrow, you just never know what trick I’m gonna pull out of the bag today! I’m doing heaps of ringflash and off-camera work shooting tethered to a big screen which is working really well. See you later I hope.
