The orbis® comes ready to go. All it takes to get it ready for action is to attach your flash/strobe to your camera with an off-camera cord or other triggering system (radio, IR, optical, PC cord), check your camera settings, bring the orbis® up to the lens and take your photo.  No lugging heavy power packs around, no sorting through lens brackets, no setting up of tripods and light stands and no leasing fees.

orbis® -  changing the face of portrait photography

Ring flash is best known for portrait lighting and is often seen in simple one-light set-ups. But look out for examples in this gallery of macro ring flash photography and multi-light set-ups using the orbis® as a fill-light.

The notes accompanying each shot give you background on the set-ups used (when available),  as well as notes from the pro photographers who made these orbis® photos.

Be sure to post some examples of your orbis® in use to our flickr group pool.  Check out the main page of the group for details of any orbis® competitions we may be running too !

  • "The magic of the orbis™ is that there's no cord or 20lb battery pack to lug around, it's small enough to consider bringing to parties and clubs." - Mike, USA, Youtube comment
